Runners in Sichuan forest park

More than 2,000 runners from China and overseas participated in a marathon held on March 5 in the forest park of Longquan Mountain near Chengdu, Sichuan province. The marathon was divided into three groups, requiring runners to cover distances of 6 kilometers, 10 kilometers and a half marathon respectively.

This event marked the third marathon in the forest park in Wufeng Township. It also aimed to boost the development and poverty relief efforts of local villages. The township is the only national 5A-level tourism resort, in addition to being China’s first ancient“philosophy town.”
