The city of Baotou in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region recently sent a tank-like machine to clear snow off its roads. The machine, a dual-use device, is manufactured by China North Industries Group Corporation. Its average speed is 20 to 30 km/h, though it can move at up to 50km/h. The powerful snow blower uses a hydraulic control system and boasts an engine often used in jets, which gives off enough heat and generates sufficiently high-speed airflow to effectively clear snow.
