A 55-year-old man from Zhengzhou, Henan province has built three Lamborghini-like electric vehicles for his grandson, Henan Business Daily reported. The vehicles can run as fast as 40 kilometers per hour.
Guo Yuanliang started making electric vehicles after his grandson fell off his electric bicycle on the way to kindergarten. Guo hoped to prevent such accidents from happening in the future. His wife doubted the idea at first, saying that a man with only a little education would never be able to pull it off. However, Guo finished his first "Lamborghini" in half a year, followed by two upgraded versions.
Guo spent about 5,000 RMB on each of his vehicles. They are equipped not only with automatic rotary drop doors and a stereo systems, but also with headlights, taillights, horns and speed control levers. According to Guo, the vehicles have a range of 60 kilometers.
However, local traffic police noted that Guo's vehicles are not allowed to be used for transportation as they have not passed a safety inspection.
Now Guo is working on his next project: a perpetual motion car. He hopes that the vehicle will be able to recycle energy, allowing it to possess a potentially infinite range. Though many have questioned his "perpetual motion" quest, Guo said he would not be deterred.
