Uber said on Thursday it will halt its ride-hailing services in Taiwan starting on February 10, Taiwan.cn reported.

The move comes after it was fined $7.5 million by Taiwan’s transportation department and taxi industry over the legality of its operations. The company entered the Taiwan market in July 2013.
