Giant 'double happiness' topiary created in Sichuan

By Yin Xiaohong (People's Daily Online)    15:11, January 24, 2017

A giant Chinese character, “double happiness,” or “囍,” was formed out of Camellia trees in Wanyuan, Sichuan province on Jan. 23. Locals adopted the project to celebrate the Chinese new year.

The character resembles a giant square with each side extending 50 meters. Double happiness is formed by two “喜” characters, which mean joy. In double happiness, they are compressed to assume the square shape of a standard Chinese character.
