Chinese president sends condolences to Kyrgyz counterpart over Turkish cargo plane crash

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday sent condolences to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev over a deadly cargo plane crash in the Central Asian country.

Xi said in a message that he was shocked to learn that a Turkish cargo plane crashed in Kyrgyzstan on Monday, causing heavy casualties and property loss.

Xi mourned the dead and extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished quick recovery of the injured.

A cargo plane owned by ACT Airlines of Turkey crashed on Monday near Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, killing at least 37 people.
