“Green mountains benefit people” is one of the measures on targeted poverty alleviation by the city of Pu’er. Currently, the city has established more than 30 professional fruit co-ops. The cultivated area reaches up to 580,000 mu; the harvest area is about 520,000 mu. People plant more than 100 types of special fruit trees such as bananas, citruses, mangoes and so on.
