SYDNEY, Nov. 29 -- China Eastern Airlines Flight MU777 hit turbulence resulting in several injuries to passengers and crew members while landing at Sydney International Airport on the afternoon of Nov. 29.
There were 212 passengers on the flight. Five passengers and two crew members were taken to the hospital after arriving in Sydney.
China Eastern’s General Manager for Oceania told People’s Daily Online that China Eastern had confirmed that all affected passengers were in stable condition after receiving treatment for their injuries. The airline has also contacted the families of injured passengers. The MU777 flight utilized an A330-200 aircraft. The aircraft is currently in good condition and will operate an on-time return flight this evening.
