BEIJING, June 21 -- The China Industrial Park in India is officially launched in Beijing on Monday.

Led by the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), the China Industrial Park in India, a “One Belt One Road” pilot project, aims to build an international investment platform, helping Chinese SMEs go global.

Located in the Ahmedabad city of Gujarat of India, this industrial park plans to focus on four parts: production and processing, commodity display and trade, storage and logistics, as well as comprehensive supporting service.

To speed up construction of this park, the Gujarat government has mapped a series of preferential policies on tax and revenue, foreign investment and supporting service.

Construction of this park is to finish in three years, and more than one hundred enterprises have expressed their willingness to join this program.

Li Zibin, president of CASME, Zhang Jinqiang, vice president and Wei Zichuan, vice president of Xinhuanet, as well as guests from China (Chengdu) Small and Medium Enterprises Investment Co. Ltd., attended the ceremony.

Given the strategic opportunities brought by promotion of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, Chinese small and medium enterprises are encouraged to actively explore the Indian market, said Li Zibin, president of CASME.
