A real problem for the government in some areas of China - how to deal with local farmer's unsold fruit?
The government of Haikou, the capital of China's Hainan Province, has come up with an excellent idea to handle tons of unsold watermelons produced by local farmers.
The local authority has joined hands with local enterprises to purchase the unsold watermelons and give them to hard-working cleaners in the city.
A total of 8,039 cleaning workers have received more than 73,500 kilograms of watermelons.
