People’s Daily reported in February a horrific accident in east China’s Jiangsu province that a toddler tumbled from a minivan on highway, and the minivan just drove off. The toddler was immediately noticed by the driver in the following vehicle and saved.
The surveillance footage taken on March 24 in a crossroad in Zhaotong, city in southwest China’s Yunnan province, showed a similar accident. A kid was seen fallen from the back door of a minivan. The driver of the following vehicle, obviously didn’t see the accident coming, drove on, running over the kid. The surveillance footage showed the minivan immediately halted, and one elder woman rushed out and urged the car behind to back up. Both drivers together pulled the kid from the wheels. The kid was then carried back to the minivan and just being driven off, leaving no trail behind. Neither side has called the police, and no record can be found about the situation of the kid. The horrific accident was only noticed later by traffic police when they were going through the surveillance footages.
