Be in Awe: Middle School Students’ English Handwriting Comparable to Printing

Recently, a group of photos goes viral on China’s social network. In photos are the English writing pieces of Hengshui Middle School students in Central China’s Hebei province. Few can read them before being amazed by the calligraphic beauty of the writing.

The teacher is rigid. On the margin of a writing piece, which apparently incomparable to others but nonetheless beautiful, feedback reads, “Come to my office for face-to-face feedback.” Then it adds, “You must come.”

Some are completely in awe. Others question what the point is to train students like this.
