| To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the World Anti-fascist War, a photographer from Yichang, Hubei province sought out 30 local veterans and took 4 months to photograph their “photos with guns” from April to August. He took a simulation model of a “Kai-shek” rifle along with him for the shooting,so as to reproduce those veterans' mien. This kind of rifle was the primary individual equipment of Chinese army during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression. The photographer hoped to recall veterans' memory through the gun.
