The research team led by Academician Sun Handong in Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences found for the first time that the derivatives of Schisandra chinensis have strong anti-HIV activity which features high activity, low toxicity and special physiological mechanism. Relevant preclinical research has been carried out with the support of National Major Scientific and Technological Special Project for "Significant New Drugs Development", making it possible to be a new type of anti-Aids drug.
