HARBIN, Aug. 4 -- A senior executive of the China First Heavy Industries died after being found hanging in his office in Heilongjiang Province, local police said on Tuesday.

Wu Shengfu, general manager of the national heavy-machinery maker, was found dead in Qiqihar City shortly after the midnight of Sunday, the city police said.

Initial investigations said that Wu killed himself, the police said.

The stated-owned company is one major supplier in the fields of power generation, ocean engineering and metallurgy.
