Japan celebrateed the upcoming release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in December with rice paddy art displays in Inakadate, Aomori, Aug 1.

The locals have been creating rice paddy art displays since 1993 for the sake of boosting tourism.

For this year’s Star Wars theme, the planting starts in June and the rice paddy is expected to fade away by mid-August. The Star Wars fans would have to hurry to see the spectacular scene.

The rice was planted with the help of children from neighborhood schools with 7 rice seeds of different colors.
