The hot weather is a nightmare for rheumatics, whose arthroses are always painful in air-conditioned room. Here are four secrets that can comfort rheumatics in the scotching summer.

Swimming is the best exercise for rheumatics, which can minimize the load-bearing of arthroses and relieve the summer heat.

With the cold constitution, rheumatics should not eat cold food such as cold drink, fruits or ice creams. These foods may induce the disease or cause exacerbations. People should eat more nutritious food like white gourds, barley kernels, white beans and water chestnuts etc.

Dry the body and have a rest after a bath. Immediately coming into the air-conditioned environment will induce the disease or cause exacerbations.

Do not reduce the dosage or stop the medication in summer. In the scotching weather, strong ultraviolet radiation and insufficient sleep time decline immune function, which may aggravate the rheumatic condition.
