27-year-old Xiaoyi donates hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) to a 6-year-old patient in Beijing on July 6, becoming the 5,000th donors of HSC in China. Xiaoyi joined China’s Marrow Donor Program six years ago. The program has more than 2 million volunteers. With growing donors, more and more lives have been saved. Those aged between 18 and 45 who have healthy bodies and pass blood test can become a HSC donor.
