BEIJING, April 29 -- China's Foreign Ministry says China will step up its help with rescue and relief efforts in Nepal, and continue to make sure that Chinese citizens can return home quickly.
"Through concerted efforts by the Foreign Ministry, the National Civil Aviation Administration, and the Chinese embassy in Nepal, more than 2,000 Chinese citizens have been flown back to China. We will further increase flight capacity to make sure that everyone can get back soon.
We will devote greater efforts to rescue operations in Nepal along with the international community, and help the country overcome the disaster and rebuild," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei.
