Nearly 10 children with autism from underprivileged families receive treatment at a recovery center for autism in Hefei, east China's Anhui province. The recovery center has treated more than 30 children since 2007. Families with autistic children suffer from economic and mental pressures. In recent years, the local government has covered the costs of treatment and education of children with autism in order to relieve pressures of their families.
