RIYADH, Feb. 17, -- A military chopper crashed late Monday in a eastern Saudi city during a training, killing four crew members, local media quoted Saudi defense ministry as saying.
The ministry said an investigation is underway to looking into the crash, said Saudi Press Agency.
The oil-rich Middle East country has seen such similar mishap in training sessions before in the past. In 2013, a Tornedo fighter of the Saudi royal air forces fell during a routine training, and the crew survived.
In 2012, two back-to-back crashes occurred. The first accident led to the death of one pilot who was flying an F15 jet on a training mission. In the following day, a Hawk aircraft crashed while training and the pilot survived the accident.
