(ANSA) - Rome, May 28 - The Prada Foundation on Wednesday launched its newest show, Art or Sound, which examines the space where music and the visual arts meet. Curated by legendary Italian critic Germano Celant of the Guggenheim collection in New York, the Venice exhibit spans back 500 years, examining instruments made with unusual materials during the Renaissance, automated instruments from the Industrial Revolution that display music with lights and colors, and avant-garde experiments involving sight and sound by Italian Futurists Luigi Russolo and Giacomo Balla.

The show opens to the public on June 7 and runs through November 3 at Ca' Corner della Regina, the Prada Foundation's headquarters. The show marks the first time the second floor will be open to the public since the palazzo's renovation started in 2011.
