Qian Zhengying, Vice-Chairman of Ninth

Following is a biographical sketch of Qian Zhengying:
Qian, Female, of Han Nationality, born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, in July 1923,
joined Communist Party of China (CPC) and started work in Sept. 1941, graduated from
Department of Civil Engineering of Datong University in Shanghai, academician of Academy
of Engineering of China.
Served as vice-minister and minister in charge of Water Resources, and Water
Conservancy and Power.
Elected member of 10th through 14th CPC Central Committees, as well as vice-chairwoman
of 7th and 8th CPPCC National Committees.
