Heresy Is Heresy
The heretical nature of Falun Gong will be crystal clear if one has a look at the historical facts of both past and present, and Chinese and foreign.
In the Oriental history, most heretical founders styled themselves or being called by believers as Bodhisattva coming down to the world, then they used their monstrous strength to mislead the people by confusing gods. Fa Qing of the Northern Dynasties (386-550) and Song Zixian and Xiang Haiming of the Sui Dynasty (581-618) were all such heretical founders. The wore white gowns and long hairs, explaining Buddhist meditation and Taoist temples, and talking nonsense about fortune and misfortune. Song Zixian was "good at doing sorcery" and could change himself "in the Buddhist image", therefore causing "confusion and belief far and wide". Xiang Haiming could cause those converted "often to have auspicious dreams". In recent years, heretical founder Qing Hai, a self-styled "supreme master" of the Taiwan "initial approach to become a Bodhisattva believer", has been subjected to police attack of Taiwan and the Chinese mainland. When asked about whether she was a Buddha, she gave the affirmative answer "yes". She said as long as one repeatedly called the "supreme master's name Qing Hai", one could free oneself of torment, or moksa, and so long as one gazed at her eyes, one could find one's true self and become a Buddha immediately. Japan's Aum leader Soko Asahara claimed that he had been engaging in painstaking cultivation of Buddhism in the Himalayas and got hint from Buddha to preach Buddhism.
Most founders of heresies emerged in the West over the past 30 years used this method to mislead the general public. For example, the founder of Judaism, "People's Temple of God religion", called himself the God. Founder of the "David sect" claimed "he dreamed of the God who sent an angel to tell him that the God had decided to assign him to be the resurrected Christ to rescue the world facing imminent great calamity". These two heresies had led to the collective suicide of 914 and 80 people respectively, this tragedy shocked the world.
Like all other heretical founders, Li Hongzhi is an evildoer by talking big and telling lies and goes even farther than other heretical founders. He bragged that he learned the Buddhist doctrine when he was four years old from the 10th generation master Quan Jue, he said, "I am the only one in the world who openly preach the right Buddhist doctrine or dharma", "I am the last one before the doomsday to carry it on", and "my standing aloof from worldly affairs not happens in one thousand or even ten thousand years".
From the comparison made above, we can come to the conclusion: First, Falun Gong contains all the important characteristics of heretical organizations, and so is an out-and-out heresy. Second, the Falun Dafa preached by Li Hongzhi is by no means an "extraordinary science", but rather it is a refurbished version of the ignorant twaddle of Chinese and foreign heretical founders. Third, Falun Gong, which has nothing in common with normal religious and qigong (deep breathing exercise) activities, is a gross trample upon normal religious and qigong activities. Fourth, Like all other heresies, Falun Gong is an anti-society, anti-humanity, anti-science and anti-government malignant tumor, which poses great harm to society.
Heresies are heresies. They are of the same species no matter in which age and in which country they instigate incidents and make trouble and will be given heavy blows by the government. On October 30, 1999, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Supreme People's Procuratorates and the Supreme People's Court promulgated the decision and legal explanations on banning and attacking heretical activities. We should take up the legal weapon to resolutely ban the Falun Gong heresy according to law, severely punish heretical chieftains, safeguard citizens' legitimate rights and interests, maintain social stability and guarantee the smooth advancement of reform and construction.
