China Bans Falun Gong

Beijing University Students Denounce Falun Gong

Beijing's top universities have held a number of campus activities in recent days to expose the true nature of the banned Falun Gong cult.

A host of academic discussions and public lectures on Falun Gong have been organized in the schools, including prestigious Beijing University and Qinghua University, to analyze the root causes of the cult and its anti-science and anti-government philosophy.

Teachers and students came away able to recognize the difference between a cult and a religion and further saw through the charade of the Falun Gong cult. Prof. Huang Nansen of Beijing University noted that religions are characterized by tolerance and compatibility, while the Falun Gong cult is self-absorbed and dangerously aggressive.

Doctoral candidates from People's University sponsored a special campus forum, exposing the true nature of Falun Gong, which attracted Ph.D. students from Qinghua and other universities.

During the activities, many students offered suggestions on how best to crack down on Falun Gong and prevent the emergence of similar cults.

Many of them also said they hoped that the universities will make the most of their good reputations and shoulder their responsibilities in establishing a humanistic atmosphere in society.
