People's Daily Article Criticizes Li Hongzhi's Fallacies
The " People's Daily" carries a commentator's article August 6 to further criticize the fallacies of Li Hongzhi, head of the illegal organization Falun Gong.
Li has used two important methods to run the Falun Gong cult and its organizations which include poisoning practitioners' minds with fallacies and controlling practitioners through various levels of organization, the article points out.
Though the fight against the Falun Gong cult has mitigated the bad effects of the fallacies of Falun Gong or Falun Dafa, the pernicious influence of Li Hongzhi and his fallacies is still alive among some of his followers, and needs to be eradicated, the article says.
The article stresses that we should help those who are still following the fallacies of Li Hongzhi including some Communist Party members, cadres and intellectuals, to analyze how they went astray, find the ideological reasons for this, and provide them with education and instructions accordingly.
The process of refuting the fallacies of Li Hongzhi is also a process of promoting education in Marxist materialism and atheism, and the basic principles and guidelines of the Chinese Communist Party, the article says.
The fight against Falun Gong will not only help the Falun Gong practitioners, but the Chinese people as a whole to improve their political awareness and their immunity against fallacies of all kinds.
Party organizations at all levels should recognize the importance and difficulty of the serious ideological and theoretical combat against Falun Gong, and try to improve Party members' ideological and theoretical studies.
