Nature of and Harm Done by 'Falun Gong'
This article, titled "Political Aim Behind 300-Odd Sieges", written by Our Staff Reporter, says: According to statistics, Falun Gong organizations have, since April 25, plotted and created 307 incidents of laying sieges to Party and government organizations and information departments. For example, in April 1998 after the Qilu (Shandong) Evening News published cases about Falun Gong practitioners who died because they delayed medical treatment by refusing to take medicines, more than 3,900 practitioners twice staged sit-in demonstrations in front of the press; due to the same reason, the Hebei Political-Legal Newspaper was also besieged by Falun Gong practitioners. In their siege to the Chongqing Daily, the Falun Gong practitioners even arrogantly warned that unless the press made an appology, they would collectively call up Falun Gong supernatural power, then the press would be inundated by floodwater as the Jinshan Temple was submerged and the Earth would be ruined ahead of time.
When facts about how Li Hongzhi reaped exorbitant profits in the name of passing on Falung Gong and when the anti-scientific nature of Falun Gong were exposed , Falun Gong organizations successively instigated followers to besiege Beijing Television Station, the Liaoning Daily, Nanfang Daily, the China Youth Daily, Fuzhou Daily, Xiamen Daily, Hefei Evening News, Chengdu Business and several other newspaper offices. These actions of Falun Gong organizations have seriously disturbed normal social order and exerted extremely bad social effect. The illegal gathering of more than 10,000 people around Zhongnanhai, the headquarters of the Party and central government, on April 25 this year exerted the most disgusting influence, the political nature of Falun Gong was thoroughly laid bare. Since then Falung Gong organizations had started a raging tide of besieging Party and government organizations in various localities, for instance, Party and government offices in Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Hebei, Guiyang, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Guangxi, Henan, Gansu and Shenzhen.
The above-mentioned shocking facts tell people: Falun Gong organizations manipulated by Li Hongzhi attempted to disrupt social order, undermine relationship between the Party and masses, create social turmoil in order to fish in troubled water. This fully shows Falun Gong organizations have become a political force antagonistic to our Party and government, unless we thoroughly defeat it, there will be no peace in the country.
