Chinese Buddhists Support Falun Gong Ban
Chinese Buddhist leaders have given their support to the campaign against Falun Gong and say they will help maintain social stability.
Ming Shan, vice-president of the Buddhist Association of China, says that the true face of Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong have been exposed and that people now have a clearer understanding of Li's motive, which was to defraud people of their money and undermine social stability.
The Chinese will fight any behavior that undermines social stability, ethnic unity, and national reunification and the three Buddhist leaders praised the Falun Gong ban, calling it a wise decision. It is the Party's and the government's way of protecting legitimate religious groups and normal religious activities, Ming Shan said. (Xinhua)
