China Bans Falun Gong

Falun Gong Has Tight Organization

A recent investigation by the Chongqing Public Security Bureau in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality shows that Falun Gong is a well-organized and fast-acting illegal cult.

The organization of Falun Gong in Chongqing has five layers: the general station, sub-branches, first-level instruction centers, second-level instruction centers, and exercising centers.

Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Gong, appointed the head of the general station who named his two deputies.

The general station has three sub-branches, each with a director and an executive deputy director.

The three sub-branches have 56 first- and second-level instruction centers, and 890 exercising centers. The five layers of organization have 358 leaders, and each layer has its own division of work, the investigation reveals.

Falun Gong practitioners have besieged some news media organizations in Chongqing on many occasions beginning last year.

All these activities were under the control of the Li Hongzhi's Falun Dafa Research Society (FDRS) in Beijing and instigated and directly led by the general station in Chongqing.

The investigation proves that the dispatch and deployment of local Falun Gong practitioners and their final retreat were organized by the Chongqing general station and the FDRS in Beijing through instructions sent via phone calls and faxes.

Under such tight organization, Falun Gong followers are easily made use of by Li Hongzhi, said a senior official of the Chongqing Public Security Bureau.

*Person in Changchun Accuses Falun Gong Founder Of Fraud

A person who got to know Li Hongzhi, founder of the Falun Gong, around 1992 in Li's hometown has accused Li of deceiving his followers and taking their money.

Liu Fengcai, a 60-year-old journalist in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province, told Xinhua that the Falun Dafa was just nonsense. He says that Li, who founded the Falun Gong cult, an illegal organization, in 1992, used some sleight of hand and ambiguous scientific jargons and malicious fallacies to deceive people.

Liu said that he decided to break away from Li after he had found out that Li was a braggart, a liar, and a swindler, who promoted Falun Gong with the purpose of defrauding his followers.

Li's malicious fallacies about how the Earth will explode also caused Liu to sever ties with Li.

Liu says that Li concocted Falun Gong to lure more followers and to get more money from them. Liu estimated that Li had earned more than one million yuan by 1994 from his lectures, training classes, and books related to Falun Gong and from donations from different sources.
