Falun Gong Founder's World-Outlook Fallacies Refuted
The fallacies of the world outlook preached by Li Hongzhi, founder of the outlawed Falun Gong, can't hide his nature of ignorance and superstition, despite being spread under the guise of supreme science.
So said a commentary in the seventh special issue of "Qiushi" (Seeking Truth), a magazine of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Li disseminates his world outlook by piling up many modern phases on astronomy, when actually he knows nothing about astronomy, the article said.
For example, he used the term "light year," a distance measurement unit in astronomy, as a time measurement unit, confused nuclear fusion with nuclear fission, and blindly assumed that the surface temperature on Mars (whose Chinese name literally means "planet of fire") is much higher than that on Earth.
By taking advantage of people's desire to live longer and their health concerns, Li created a mystical and horrible atmosphere in an attempt to erode the minds of his followers, disturb public order, and sabotage social stability, the article said.
The article called on people to keep a sober political mind and not be duped by Li's malicious fallacies. Though there exists a wicked, superstitious, and decadent trend of thought in the world, justice, scientific and progressive forces will finally win. The future of the world belongs to those who hold up scientific truth, the article noted. (Xinhua)
