People From All Walks of Life Condemn Falun Gong
Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC), government officials and people throughout China have all expressed their support for the Central Government's decision to wipe out Falun Gong, and condemned it as an organization which spreads malicious fallacies which are harmful to people's minds and bodies.
They said this is a serious ideological and political struggle which has a bearing on the fundamental beliefs of Party members, on the basic ideological foundation for the Chinese people's cause and unity, and on the future of the Party and State.
They strongly condemned Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, for concocting Falun Gong in order to destroy people's minds, and disturb public order and social stability.
National People's Congress Standing Committee members in Beijing said that stability is the paramount interests of the State and the people, and nothing can be done successfully without it. So an early resolution of the Falun Gong issue will help safeguard stability and unity in China and allow the Chinese people to concentrate their efforts on pushing ahead reforms, the opening-up and the socialist modernization drive.
Party members, educators, workers and government officials from the provinces of Hebei, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Heilongjiang as well as many other regions stated that Falun Gong constitutes a serious hindrance to the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and the overall situation of reform, development and stability. Therefore, it must not be allowed to continue to exist and further develop.
They said that under the pretext of 'promoting health', the Falun Gong organizations have conducted many illegal activities which have seriously disturbed the normal order of society, confused the people's moral and ethical concepts, deceived many innocent people and inflicted enormous damage on their physical and mental health.
