China Bans Falun Gong

CPC Reports Decision to Resolve Falun Gong Issue to Non-Communist Parties

The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee reported its decision to resolve the Falun Gong issue to the country's eight non-Communist parties, the ACFIC and personages without party affiliation.

"The Falun Gong incident is the most serious political incident since the June 4 political turbulence in 1989," said Wang Zhaoguo, head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, in the report.

Wang called on the non-Communist parties, all ACFIC members and personages without party affiliation to earnestly study and understand the decision and relevant documents of the CPC Central Committee, and unify their thinking in accordance with the guidelines of the CPC Central Committee.

He also pointed to the fact that Falun Gong practitioners also include members of the non-Communist parties and the ACFIC, and some personages without party affiliation.

"We hope you will carry forward your fine tradition of self- education and help, and persuade your members who are also Falun Gong adherents to break away from its organizations," said Wang.
