Tranquility Reigning over "Victory Park"
"Victory Park" lies beside the People's Street of Changchun, obscure even to many residents in the locality. But it has become the focus of people's attention for Li Hongzhi had taught his Falun Gong here seven years ago. Since the park lies at the city center, there are many people coming here to do morning exercises. At that time, Falun Gong practitioners did the same as those of early morning risers doing their morning exercises in the park to attract no people's attention. "Not until the recent two years did we know there were two groups, about 100 people, practicing Falun Gong", a man working in the park said. He added that Li Hongzhi has got no special ability as what he has boasted about himself.
Now those Falun Gong followers have stopped all of their exercise. The park is crowded but in good order. Children under the care of their parents are playing with each other happily; retailers are busy; young couples are either taking a walk or talking in whisper. People are seen as usual coming to and fro in the park.
