China Bans Falun Gong

Promote Science and Remove Superstition

To arm the largest number of cadres and masses with a correct world outlook and a right attitude to remove atheism, the Chinese Society of Atheism has published its "Science and Atheism" magazine in due form on 15th July.

The purpose of this magazine is to promote science, remove superstition, safeguard the freedom of religious faith and propel the realization of the strategy to make the country prosperous by developing science and education.

Ren Jiyu, chairman of the Chinese Society of Atheism, pointed out that ghosts and gods are non-existent. The appearance of theism in a new form has disturbed the normal conception of atheism. Anything supernatural can find no evidence; the happiness of individuals or the whole of Men will depend neither on ghosts nor on gods. Therefore, "we have the responsibility to publish the magazine of "Science and Atheism" to serve a wide readership in China.
