After the Party Central Committee's Decision on determining the nature of and dealing with Falun Gong was broadcast by the CCTV and other news media on the afternoon of July 22, it evoked strong repercussion among the cadres and masses in various parts of the country.
The general public hold that it is timely and necessary that the Party and government who, standing on the height of commanding the whole situation, have dealt with Falun Gong according to law, this fully conforms with the interests of the whole Party and the desire of the people of the whole country, "we firmly support it", they said.
While being interviewed by the reporters, some cadres and the masses in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Gansu and other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions indicated that facts eloquently show that if Falun Gong was not dealt with in time, it would cause endless trouble to the future. They pledge that they would do away with superstition with actual deeds, concentrate their energy on work and make contribution to safeguarding stability and developing the economy.
