--The Su Garden---East Wu Architecture

sichuan.jpg (18551 bytes) The Su Garden covers 1,580 square m. and contains the main hall, the painted pleasure-boat, the zigzag bridge, the rockery and waterfalls. The main hall is built above water with railings and French windows around for watching the garden scenery. From the pavilion on the top of the rockery one can have a panoramic view of the garden. The waterfalls just beneath the pavilion add a dynamic feature to the picture. The Su Garden is an example of traditional culture combined with the Suzhou gardening art.
