¡°Huaixiang¡± is
homophonous to ¡°nostalgia¡± in Chinese. This garden is 1,176 square m. in size, with
the ¡°rhinoceros looking at the moon¡± as the main creation. While the white pagoda on
the Wutai Mountains stands for Buddhist culture, the shadow wall in the Qiao Courtyard,
the well frame in Xinghua Village and the locust trees are indications of the Yellow River
culture. These 2 cultures are combined with each other by the ¡°Yushaofeiliang¡± into an
organic entity with Shanxi characteristics.
