Pakistan Reiterates "One China" Policy

ISLAMABAD, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani government Wednesday reiterated its "one China" policy, saying Taiwan is an inalienable part of China.

Pakistan has always believed that there is only one China and the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole representative of the Chinese people, said a Foreign Office press release here.

The Chinese sovereignty and territory are indivisible and Taiwan must be reunited with the motherland, it added.

Pakistan fully supports the stand taken by the Chinese government, which has reacted justifiably to Lee Teng-hui's recent statement, it concluded.
