China and Guinea-Bissau have a traditional friendship, Fu said. "The friendly relations of cooperation between China and Guinea-Bissau and the two countries' armed forces are not only in the fundamental interests of the two peoples, but also conducive to regional and world stability and development." The two countries share common views on a wide-range of important international issues, Chi said. China thanks Guinea-Bissau for abiding by the "One China" stance, he said. Fu briefed Seabra on China's independent foreign policy of peace and its principled stand on counter-terrorism. Seabra said Guinea-Bissau attaches great importance to its relations with China.
