New Trade Center in East China Becomes WTCA Member

A newly erected trade center in the Hengdian Town of Dongyang, East China's Zhejiang Province, has become a member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).

Funded by the Hengdian Group, a famous township enterprise engaged in a wide variety of business operations, the Zhejiang Hengdian World Trade Center will cover 1.2 million square meters when the entire project is completed.

The recently inaugurated first phase of the trade center, covering 180,000 square meters, is already hosting several international and national expositions, ranging from food and food processing technologies and facilities, and commodities for daily use to automobiles and spare parts.

WTCA's Vice President Robert C. Dichiara, who was in Hengdian Town for the inauguration ceremony, expressed belief that the new trade center will bring more fiscal income and employment opportunities to Zhejiang and help promote trade between China and other countries.
