Business Opportunities for 2008 Olympic Games Open to Global Enterprises: Beijing Mayor
Business opportunities in the preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing will be open to global enterprises including Norwegian businesses, Beijing Mayor Liu Qi said Monday.
Liu made the remarks while meeting with his Norwegian counterpart Perditlev Simonsen, mayor of Oslo, the Norwegian capital.
Contracts for preparatory work for the 2008 Olympic Games will be allocated by a system of world-wide public bidding, and Norwegian enterprises are welcome, Liu said.
He also said Beijing, which has been awarded the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games by the International Olympic Committee in July, would draw on the successful experiences of Norway in hosting the games.
