Price Index of Major Chinese Regions: BeijingXinhua is releasing dispatches on major economic indicators of 10 major Chinese regions on a regular basis.Following is the price index of Beijing for the first nine months of this year: Consumer price index (CPI) stood at 104.5 percent, 0.6 percent lower than the January-August period. September alone saw a decline to 100.1 percent. The 10 regions are the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu,Shandong, Zhejiang, Henan, Liaoning, and the municipalities of Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing. These regions make up the bulk of the Chinese economy. |
