AL Chief Starts Tour to Discuss Mideast Situation, Anti-Terrorism IssueArab League (AL) Secretary General Amr Moussa left here Friday evening for Kuwait, the first leg of a trip to Arab countries, Europe and the U.S., to coordinate stands on the Middle East situation and the U.S. anti-terrorism war against Afghanistan.Moussa will meet and consult with Kuwaiti officials on ways of dealing with "Arab problems and issues affected by the international developments," Egypt's state-run MENA news agency reported. The AL chief will travel on to Damascus, Syria, on Saturday to attend an AL meeting of foreign ministers on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Moussa will visit Brussels on November 5-6 to attend a Euro-Mediterranean meeting before going to London to meet with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw on the Afghanistan issue. Moussa will go on to New York on November 9 for the U.N. General Assembly, sources said, adding that he will warn against widening of the U.S.-led anti-terrorism campaign into any Arab country.
