Foreign Trade Index of Major Chinese Regions: Beijing
Xinhua is releasing dispatches on major economic indicators of ten major Chinese regions in the first three quarters of this year.
Following is a general development of foreign trade in Beijing in the first three quarters: Beijing-based enterprises exported 3.12 billion U.S. dollars during the January-August period, up 5.1 percent over the same period last year, but 6.9 percentage points lower than the first six months due to less demand in the international market.
The ten regions include Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Henan, Liaoning, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, and Chongqing. These provinces and municipalities make up the bulk of Chinese economy.
