Nestle Establishes R&D Center in Shanghai
Swiss food company Nestle set up a research and development center Friday in this east China metropolis in a fresh move to reinforce its technical support and new product development in the Chinese market.
The newly established facility will conduct research on food and nutrition, and develop foodstuff catering to the tastes of the Chinese people, sources said.
So far, Nestle has set up 18 factories in China, employing 7,000 local people. Its investment in China totals some 700 million U.S. dollars.
