Taliban Ready to Fight Back US-led Ground AssaultTaliban Foreign Minister Wakil Ahmed Muttawakil Wednesday said in Kandahar that Taliban forces are ready to fight back if the US-led coalition dispatch its ground forces to Afghanistan, according to the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).
While addressing a press conference, the Taliban official said if the United States and Britain want to fight, they may come to the battle field so that the Taliban forces could fight against them.
To a question regarding the US commandos reportedly arrested in Afghanistan, the Taliban Foreign Minister refused to give any information, saying that's the duty of their intelligence department.
He reiterated that Taliban supreme leader Mullah Omar is still alive and hiding in a secret and safe place inside Afghanistan, according to AIP.
