CBA "Summit" Opened in Session, Yangcheng Sports No More Promoter for CBA

The Chinese Basketball Sports Management Center held a meeting Tuesday in Beijing, discussing on many problems before new CBA league matches and giving an important explanation to the right of promotion for the CBA.

The Management Center gave an account of the preparatory work made for the new league matches to the persons in charge from 13 clubs and match district, pointing out in a clear-cut way that the Yangcheng Sports didn't hold the promotion right any more and the work would be taken over by the Zhonglan Company, a subsidiary under the Management Center.

After the withdrawal of Yangcheng Sports, a number of companies and organizations, including the International Management Group, a company going along with the CBA in developing its business, have shown their intention to take over the promotion right. However, considering the pros and cons, the person in charge in the Management Center finally made a decision to withdraw the right but Wang Du, the deputy of the center, did not deny the possibility to find a fit partner and supporter during the matches.

According to China Youth Daily, CBA indicated in their notice that there were 12 newly developed products subjected to the category of the reserved ones in relation to the Man's League A Basketball Matches in new match period. Due to the "monopolized" notice covering a very wide range that has exerted a great impact on the interests of promoters and supporters for all clubs, plus the fact of much delayed announcement in this regard, so the representatives all expressed their strong dissatisfaction.

In response to that, Wang Du solemnly declared in the meeting that CBA would reply to all clubs' inquiries no later than tomorrow noon. With the matches going on, we call for a continued effort from all circles to solve all problems and conflicts the association and clubs are confronted with.

As CBA has so far held six matches and this is the seventh one, the unprecedented happening did not go beyond our expectation and is deemed reasonable. The Chinese Basketball Sports Management Center is expected to offer a good explanation as it involves the matter of making and how to make profit.
