Chinese Painting Exhibition Held in Xi'an

A national Chinese painting exhibition was inaugurated Tuesday in this capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

Altogether 318 Chinese paintings selected from 30 provinces, regions and municipalities are on display at the exhibition to be open till November 8.

China's leading artists and cultural experts will attend a number of art symposiums during the exhibition, which is sponsoredby the Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Department of the Shaanxi

Provincial Government and the Chinese Painting Academy.
