Top Officials Elected in Northeast China Province
The first plenary session of the 9th Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) elected its new leadership Sunday.
Wen Shizhen will continue to act as Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, while Bo Xilai, Zhang Wenyue, Zhang Xingxiang, Sun Chunlan and Wang Weizhong were elected deputy secretaries.
Wang Weizhong was also elected secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection at the commission's first plenary session Sunday, with Yu Fengsheng, Wang Gang, Xing Chunhe and Liu Yaqin elected deputy secretaries.
