And a 500-pound (220 kg) bomb "inadvertently" hit a residential area about 700 feet (230 meters) south of the warehouses, apparently because its guidance system malfunctioned, the command said. It was the second time since the U.S.-led bombing campaign against Afghanistan began on October 7 that U.S. warplanes mistakenly bombed ICRC warehouses in Kabul. |
